And we FINALLY get to see Malus' ability. Since his body consists entirely of nanobots, he is able to control them even outside his body (There's actually a line of nanobots going between his body and the ones elsewhere, but since nanobots are so small, the line isn't visible.
The most destructive use of this ability... is to have the nanobots "eat" anything. This is the method with which they reproduce; taking apart larger objects and manufacturing them into more nanobots.
